Vodafone Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Vodafone Group., has made an $11.3 million investment in Finsphere Corporation, a provider of identity analytics.

Vietnam’s Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public will be implementing Oracle’s FLEXCUBE core banking system to help increase the bank’s efficiencies and better manage its growth.

Temenos, a provider of core banking solutions, has signed on Ethiopia’s Nib International Bank. Temenos will be providing the bank with a core banking system to help improve the bank’s service delivery.

Luxembourg’s VP Bank has deployed Sofgen Holdings’ Avaloq core banking system, helping to automate the bank’s core operations.

A recent outage at IBM’s server located in Montreal has disrupted online services and ATMs at National Bank of Canada and Laurentian Bank.
