Corporate Developments

Fundtech, a provider of transaction banking solutions, has completed the acquisition of GTCR, a private equity firm for about $390 million.

Advent International has completed the takeover of card systems and identity divisions on Oberthur Technologies, following regulatory approval. The $1.5 billion acquisition will help enhance Advent’s expertise in smart card solutions.

Euronet Worldwide, a provider of electronic payments, has purchased Smart PayNetwork, a provider of ATM outsourcing services, card issuing ad POS merchant servicing solutions. This will help Euronet expand its presence in the Romanian market. 

Core Banking

Kenya’s K-Rep Bank, in partnership with Sofgen Holdings, a provider of IT solutions for banks, has deployed Temenos’ T24 core banking solution to help support the bank’s planned expansion.

Nepal’s Social Development Bank has gone live on Polaris Financial Technology’s core banking solution to help the bank improve its back-end processing to offer modern banking services.

InfraSoftTech, has signed a deal with India’s Mangalore Catholic Cooperative Bank to provide the bank with its core banking solution to improve customer services and help support the bank’s expansion plans.
