PTSB appoints Tom Hayes as group chief technology officer

Permanent TSB has announced the appointment of Tom Hayes as its new Group Chief Technology Officer, a newly created ExCo position.

Mr Hayes will have responsibility for the development and delivery of the Group's Technology and Change Agenda, including working closely with the Commercial Director, Mark Coan, and Director of Operations, Shane O'Sullivan, to design and deliver the Digital Transformation Agenda.

He will join Permanent TSB later this year from AIB where he has worked since 1992.

He is currently Head of Digital Transformation Delivery at the bank.

Mr Hayes has previously held various roles including: Head of Customer Engagement, AIB Digital and Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations.

PTSB CEO Jeremy Masding said the appointment is a "key piece of our programme to rebuild the bank's commercial strength".
